The Mathematics Department of Smith College invites applications for a
non-tenure-track position at the level of Lecturer. The term of
appointment will be two years beginning fall 2002.  A Ph.D. in
mathematics or a related discipline is preferred.  Excellence in
teaching is essential.  Applicants should submit a letter of
application, the American Mathematical Society cover sheet, a
curriculum vitae, a statement of teaching experience and philosophy.
They should arrange to have two letters of recommendation addressing
their teaching.
